This policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we process personal data.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences across pages and between visits.
We also use similar technologies, such as local storage, which work in the same way and are covered by this policy.
Legal basis and your consent
Storing information on your device, or accessing information already stored there, is governed by Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), transposed into Portuguese law by Article 5 of Law No. 41/2004.
Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have explicitly requested — keeping items in your basket, keeping you logged in, protecting payment against fraud — do not require consent.
All the analytics and advertising cookies described below are only placed after you give us your consent through the cookie banner. Until you accept, these scripts are not even loaded and no data is sent to Google or Meta. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing does not limit your access to any part of the website.

Basket and session cookies are only placed when you add an item to your basket or log in.
Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland). To protect payments, Stripe's script is loaded on the shop's pages and places the cookies __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, described in the table above. They are used to process the transaction and to detect fraud, are strictly necessary and are not used for advertising. Your card details are entered into a Stripe form and do not pass through our servers. More information: stripe.com/privacy
Language
The website is available in Portuguese and English. The language is determined by the address you are visiting (coosher.com for Portuguese, coosher.com/en/ for English), not by a cookie. No cookie is used to store your language choice.
Analytics cookies — require consent
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website, so that we can improve it. These cookies are only placed if you give your consent.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes individual visitors | 13 months | |
_ga_YE7NDHC6DD | Maintains the state of the analytics session | 13 months |
Google Analytics is operated by Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to servers outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation and a cookie duration of 13 months, and we do not use it for advertising or for cross-site profiling. If you do not consent, the Google script is not loaded.
Advertising cookies — require consent
We use Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to build audiences for future campaigns. These cookies are only placed if you give your consent.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta | Identifies browsers for advertising measurement and audience building | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta | Stores the ad click that brought you to us; only placed if you arrive through an ad | 3 months |
The Meta Pixel is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which acts as an independent controller for its own purposes. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Meta's privacy policy applies in addition to ours: facebook.com/privacy/policy
If you refuse advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta.
Other third-party cookies
- Hosting and security. Our hosting provider and security plugin may place technical cookies for session integrity and to protect the website against abusive automated use. They are strictly necessary.
We do not control cookies placed by third parties. Please consult their privacy notices.
How long your choices last
We keep your recorded preference for 6 months, after which the banner appears again so that you can confirm or change your choice. No cookie subject to consent lasts longer than 13 months, and the data collected through those cookies is not kept for more than 25 months.
Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking the cookie preferences icon shown at the bottom of every page of the website. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the shopping basket, login and payment from working.
